About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse – ICU assignment in Portland, OR. The role is at a short-term acute care hospital in a high-acuity ICU setting. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/14/2026, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. The shifts are 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM).

Requirements

Active RN license in the state of practice (OREGON) or as required by the state of assignment.
BLS and ACLS required; facility-specific BLS/CPR policy compliance.
EPIC experience required.
Minimum of two years of recent ICU/acute care nursing experience.
Ability to work in an ICU setting and cover night shifts.
Night shifts required; holiday time-off requests will not be approved.

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated bedside nursing care for ICU patients per established standards and the nursing process.
Monitor hemodynamic status, implement interventions, and adjust care plans as patient needs evolve.
Administer medications, monitor for adverse reactions, and ensure safe medication practices.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other disciplines to optimize patient outcomes.
Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff and coordinate duties across shifts.
Participate in discharge planning, provide patient/family education, and document care using the electronic health record (EPIC).
