Requirements

Active California RN license
ICU nursing experience required
BLS (American Heart Association) certification required
Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN)
Ability to work 3x12-hour shifts in a hospital setting and participate in a travel assignment

Responsibilities

Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
Monitor and assess patient condition in the ICU; respond to changes promptly and adjust the plan of care as needed.
Administer medications, perform procedures within the scope of nursing practice, and monitor patient responses.
Document care accurately in the chart and ensure continuity of care across shifts; uphold patient safety and infection control standards.
Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to coordinate patient care.
