About The Position

This travel position is for an experienced ICU nurse relocated to a hospital setting in Simi Valley, CA. The assignment runs for 13 weeks with a 36-hour work week and shifts composed of 12-hour day blocks.

Requirements

• Active registered nurse license in California
• BLS and ACLS certifications required or maintained
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts; 36 hours per week as scheduled
• Completed nursing program
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills; comfortable working in a high-acuity ICU setting

Nice To Haves

• ICU nursing experience: 2+ years preferred
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient group in the ICU according to established standards and the nursing process.
• Assess patients, develop and implement care plans, monitor progress, and modify care as needed.
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; delegate tasks within scope of practice.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams; participate in rounds and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff.
• Administer medications and therapies, monitor for adverse events, and document findings accurately in the medical record.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance with clinical standards; communicate effectively with patients and families.
