About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for adult patients in Newark, NY. The role is situated in a hospital ICU setting and involves providing direct, high-acuity nursing care. The assignment is for a multi-week period with a start date of 10/05/2026. Shifts are 4x12 Nights. Weekly pay ranges from $2,962 to $3,186, and guaranteed hours are not guaranteed.

Requirements

New York RN license in hand
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications
Minimum ICU experience: 2 years (note: some compliance references mention 1 year)
EPIC charting experience required
Charge experience highly preferred
Travel experience may be required; first-time travelers may be considered
Ability to work in a high-acuity hospital ICU setting; willingness to float as needed
Orientation: 12 hours prior to start

Responsibilities

Deliver direct, high-acuity nursing care to adult ICU patients, including those requiring mechanical ventilation and complex hemodynamic support.
Monitor hemodynamics, titrate vasoactive/ cardiac drips, and manage continuous IV sedation/paralytics as ordered; respond to acute changes in patient status.
Interpret dysrhythmias, manage 12-lead ECGs, and perform vascular access procedures (arterial lines, central lines, and PICC as applicable).
Administer blood products and medications; implement infection control and ventilator-associated pneumonia prevention practices.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services) and document care accurately in EPIC; participate in rounds and care planning.
Maintain unit safety and patient advocacy; participate in ongoing orientation and professional development.
