About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Saint Johnsbury Center, Vermont. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/16/2026. The role involves working 3x12-hour night shifts per week, from 7pm to 7am, in a Critical Access Hospital with a four-bed open ICU. The weekly pay range is estimated between $2,132–$2,178, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week.

Requirements

Active RN license (ability to practice in Vermont or as applicable for a travel assignment)
Critical care experience with at least two years as a registered nurse
Proficiency in reading telemetry and managing adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
Ability to work night shifts (7pm–7am) in a travel assignment
Strong communication and teamwork skills; comfortable in a small ICU setting

Responsibilities

Deliver ICU-level nursing care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients as part of an open ICU unit.
Monitor telemetry, hemodynamics, and respiratory status; respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
Administer prescribed medications and therapies; titrate interventions per physician orders.
Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and nursing staff to coordinate comprehensive care and document assessments, plans, and progress.
Prepare patients and families for transitions and discharge; provide education on treatments, equipment, and post-discharge care.
