About The Position

This is a travel nursing assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department (ER) located in Utica, New York. The contract is for 13 weeks, with a start date of October 19, 2026. The position offers guaranteed hours and a night shift schedule. The role involves providing direct patient care in a hospital setting.

Requirements

Current New York RN license; active licensure with NURSYS verification required
AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC must be in hand
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
Travel experience required
Graduation from an approved nursing program; ability to practice in an ED setting
RTO (Reasonable Take Off) request must be included at time of submission
EPIC EMR experience
Ability to float as needed

Nice To Haves

Pediatrics experience preferred

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies
Monitor, assess, and document patient status; administer medications and treatments per protocols
Triage patients, prioritize care, and manage acutely ill patients; coordinate with the ED interdisciplinary team
Assist with procedures, perform basic ED procedures, and operate/maintain essential ED equipment; document care in the EMR (EPIC)
Float to related units as needed and participate in patient discharge planning and education for patients and families
Care for a broad patient population including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics; respond promptly to rapid changes in patient condition
