About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse assignment in the Emergency Room (ER) at a hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. The contract is for 14 weeks, starting on October 5, 2026. The position offers guaranteed 48 hours per week with a weekly pay range of $2,471–$2,587. The role involves working 12-hour shifts in a high-volume Emergency Department (ED) within an acute-care hospital setting.

Requirements

Minimum 1.5 years of recent Level I or II ED experience and/or 2+ years of recent Level 3/4 ED experience.
Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips; pass Telemetry Test on Day 1 (85%+).
Active certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (must be active/unexpired).
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume ED and to float to related areas as needed.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to ED patients, including triage, rapid assessment, and stabilization.
Monitor patient status with telemetry, administer medications, manage IVs, and assist with procedures as needed.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver timely, safe patient care and documentation in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
Respond to emergencies, participate in codes, and support patient and family education and discharge planning.
Maintain appropriate patient-to-nurse ratios (typical ED range approximately 1:4–5 depending on acuity) and adapt to varying charting, imaging, and procedural needs.
Float to Psych ED and Pedi ED areas (care for patients age 15+ in pedi settings when required), with pediatric experience preferred but not required.
