About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse – ER assignment in Los Angeles, CA, starting 09/28/2026 for 13 weeks. The role involves delivering direct nursing care to patients in a home hospice setting using the nursing process, monitoring and responding to changes in patient condition. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, coordinating with an interdisciplinary team to promote comfort, safety, and quality of life. Responsibilities include administering medications, managing therapies, monitoring vital signs, responding to emergencies, and supervising/delegating tasks to assigned nursing staff. The role also involves providing education and supportive care to patients and family members, participating in discharge planning and transitions of care, maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic health record, and ensuring adherence to safety, privacy, and regulatory standards. Collaboration with treating providers, social workers, and other disciplines to optimize care delivery and patient outcomes is also a key aspect of this position.

Requirements

  • Active RN licensure in the state of practice (California) required
  • CPR or BLS certification from an approved vendor required; BLS certification also required by facility policy
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
  • Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification required
  • Minimum of two years of recent RN experience in the field
  • Epic experience required
  • Ability to work in a home healthcare – hospice setting and participate in a 7:00 PM–7:30 AM night shift
