About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Room (ER) setting at a short-term acute care hospital in Hanford, California. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a start date of 09/28/2026. The role involves providing direct patient care in a fast-paced ER environment, administering medications, collaborating with healthcare teams, and documenting patient information. The position offers guaranteed hours and a competitive weekly pay rate.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
BLS or AHAS-BLS; ACLS; PALS; NRP required
At least two years of recent ER/acute care nursing experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced ER environment and perform 12-hour day shifts (6:30 AM–7:00 PM)
Commitment to patient safety, teamwork, and effective communication

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in the ER, including initial assessment, ongoing monitoring, triage, and intervention as needed
Administer medications and therapies per physician orders and established protocols
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, technicians, and other disciplines to coordinate timely, safe care
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately; participate in discharge planning and patient education
Support supervision and delegation of tasks to assigned nursing staff while maintaining patient safety and standards of care
Participate in continuous improvement and ensure adherence to infection control and safety policies
