About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse position in the ER specialty located in Clearlake, California. It is a temporary assignment for 13 weeks, starting on 09/28/2026. The role is in a rural, critical access hospital setting and guarantees 36 hours per week with a 3x12 night shift. The assignment may require floating between the ER and ICU, and proficiency in EPIC charting is necessary.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license in the state of California
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Graduation from an accredited nursing program
Minimum of two years of recent RN experience in the field, with acute critical care experience within the last 12 months
EPIC experience required

Nice To Haves

EMT/ED Tech with a minimum of 2 years of experience may be considered
ER and ICU experience is preferred; ability to float as needed
MICN is desired to be completed within one year of hire
MICN, NRP, TNCC, and CEN are encouraged and recommended

Responsibilities

Provide direct, evidence-based patient care in the Emergency Department and related units as assigned
Assess patients, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes for adults and pediatric patients
Monitor vital signs, administer medications and perform IV therapy; manage acute and emergent situations
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to stabilize patients, coordinate disposition, and ensure safe transitions of care
Document accurately in the electronic health record (EPIC) and maintain HIPAA compliance
Communicate with patients and families, deliver education, and advocate for patient safety during high-acuity events
