About The Position

This is a travel temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room (ER) in Gloucester, Massachusetts. The role supports a high-acuity ER environment within a multi-site health system. The contract duration is 13 weeks, with a start date of 10/05/2026. The position offers guaranteed hours of 72 biweekly and involves 12-hour day shifts, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with every other weekend required. Biweekly orientation and required onboarding steps are part of the process.

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license; license must be valid at submission.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC; PALS or ENPC (equivalency) required.
• 2+ years telemetry experience.
• Telemetry experience required.
• Current RN licensure in Massachusetts.
• Flu vaccine required.
• Telemetry test administered on first day (pass/fail), with pass required to continue.
• MA license required at submission.
• Must be separated for a minimum of 6 months from prior perm, per diem, or contract roles.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of prior travel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, including rapid assessment, triage, stabilization, and initial treatment plans.
• Administer medications, start IVs, monitor patient status, and interpret telemetry as applicable.
• Document care and interventions in the electronic health record; communicate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure patient safety, infection control, and high-quality care.
• Coordinate discharge planning, patient education, and referrals as appropriate.
• May be asked to float to other units within the health system if necessary and as patient needs dictate.
