About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse (RN) assignment for the Emergency Department (ER) in Hanford, California. The contract is for 13 weeks, with a start date of October 19, 2026. The position offers guaranteed hours of 48 per week, with a weekly pay range of $2,109 to $2,179. The shift is 3x12 Nights, and the setting is a Short-Term Acute Care Hospital. This role requires an active RN license in the state of practice, current CPR/BLS, ER-appropriate certifications, and experience with EPIC for charting and documentation.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California)
  • CPR/BLS required; Basic Life Support required per policy; ACLS and PALS (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS; AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS) required
  • Minimum of two years of recent ER/acute care nursing experience
  • Must have EPIC electronic health record experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
  • Eligible for assignment in a travel capacity
  • Vaccinations as mandated

Responsibilities

  • Deliver coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or assigned group according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
  • Collect relevant data, analyze assessments, formulate a care plan, implement interventions, and evaluate patient progress toward outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the patient, family, and multidisciplinary team; supervise and direct activities of nursing staff across different levels.
  • Provide education to patients and families; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
  • Delegate appropriately, coordinate duties of the healthcare team, and maintain a safe, healing environment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EPIC) and ensure timely communication with the care team.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent discretion in nursing care delivery.
  • Adhere to institutional vaccination requirements and safety policies, including E-Verify participation where applicable.
