About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Critical Care Float. The position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience, and first-time travelers are accepted. The patient population includes adults to geriatrics. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and NIH. The nurse will be expected to float primarily to ICU Float but may also float to Medical Surgical (MS), MS Telemetry (MS/Tele), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), and Intensive Care Units (ICU), Neuro ICU, and Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) units within the hospital. The nurse must be proficient in Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication. The expected nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:2-3 for ICU, 1:4-5 for PCU, and 1:5-6 for MS and MS Tele units. Scrubs should be Navy Blue. The maximum time off (RTO) allowed per contract is 7 days, with a blackout period during Spring Break (April 4th-12th). Weekends are expected every other weekend, averaging 6 weekends in a 13-week contract. Floating is a requirement. There are no call requirements. Holiday work is expected if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, and two out of three if three major holidays fall within the assignment period. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Years Eve/New Years Day. Full compliance is required to start on time; failure to comply may result in a 2-week delay due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. Aya offers are contingent on manager review within 48 hours of confirmation and require clinical pass within RTO guidelines and facility requirements. Locals are accepted at the same rate. The number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) hours is determined by contract length.

Requirements
