About The Position

These positions are for hospital float pool staff and will be expected to float throughout the hospital, including the Emergency Department, ER hold, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU. This is a float pool position with nurse-to-patient ratios up to 1:7 in Med-Surg. Candidates must be flexible due to pool staffing and cannot submit block schedule requests. Locals are accepted at the same rate. Compliance is required to start on time; delays in compliance will result in a two-week pushback due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. The number of non-billable orientation hours is determined by the contract length.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• Unit accepts first-time travelers.
• Must be flexible with scheduling.
• Full compliance required to start on time.
• Candidate must be flexible and cannot submit block schedule requests.

Responsibilities

• Float throughout the hospital, including the Emergency Department, ER hold, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, & Stepdown/PCU.
• Work every other weekend.
• Be flexible with scheduling.
• Work holidays as assigned: If one major holiday falls within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.
