About The Position

We are seeking strong, independent, and experienced nurses to float across our Intensive Care Units (ICUs). This role involves floating to multiple ICUs including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac/Heart and Vascular, Neurology, Medicine, and COVID units. If there are no ICU needs, nurses will be expected to float to inpatient floors as a staff nurse. The nursing office staffs Oncology, Neurology, Med Surg, Medicine, Trauma, Heart and Vascular, and COVID units. Ratios are 2:1 on ICUs for all shifts. Nurses may float to inpatient floors when needed with a ratio of no more than 1:3. Floating to non-critical care units may occur if census is low in the ICU, and nurses may also be asked to function as a patient sitter if needed. Every other weekend is required.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years ICU experience.
Minimum of 1 year CV ICU experience.
BCLS required.
ACLS required.
NIH required.
Vents required.
IV start required.
Tele required.
Conscious Sedation required.
Will not accept first-time travelers.

Nice To Haves

CRRT experience beneficial.
Past EPIC experience strongly preferred.
Cardiac Skill Set: Swans-hemodynamic interpretation IABP, Impella, ECMO.
Vasoactive drips.
CRRT.
Chemo preferred.
CCRN preferred.
ONS preferred.
TNCC preferred.
CPI preferred.
Triage preferred.
ICP preferred.
PA lines preferred.
Level 1 Trauma Experience preferred.

Responsibilities
