About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab. The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care for cath lab patients, collecting patient data, developing care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team. Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, monitoring during procedures, administering medications, and participating in post-procedure care and discharge planning. The nurse will also document care in the medical record (EPIC) and contribute to quality and safety initiatives.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (required).
Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or BLS per policy required.
AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS required.
At least two years of recent experience in the field.
EPIC experience required.
Ability to work in an acute care setting.
Travel assignment readiness.
Current and ongoing compliance with facility vaccination policy as applicable.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Acute care facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for cath lab patients and assigned groups in accordance with established standards and the nursing process.
Collect relevant patient data, analyze assessments, develop a care plan, implement interventions, and evaluate progress toward outcomes.
Collaborate with physicians, scrub techs, and other members of the care team; supervise and coordinate duties of nursing staff as assigned.
Prepare patients for cath lab procedures, monitor intra-procedural conditions, administer medications per protocol, and maintain patient safety and asepsis.
Participate in post-procedure care, discharge planning, patient and family education, and coordination with ancillary services.
Document care delivery in the medical record (including EPIC) and contribute to quality and safety initiatives.
