About The Position

This is a hospital travel assignment in a cath lab environment for a Registered Nurse. The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for cath lab cases. The nurse will supervise and direct nursing staff, coordinate care with other disciplines, and apply critical thinking during interventional procedures. Responsibilities include monitoring patient status pre-, intra-, and post-procedure, managing medications and hemodynamics, and communicating effectively with the cardiology team.

Requirements

Active California Registered Nurse license
Interventional/Cath Lab nursing experience preferred
Ability to work in a hospital travel assignment environment
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and collaboration skills
Ability to meet credentialing and compliance requirements for the assignment

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care in the Cath Lab for a patient or assigned group per established standards and the nursing process
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for cath lab cases; document findings and interventions
Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with physicians, technologists, and other disciplines
Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making during interventional procedures
Monitor patient status pre-, intra-, and post-procedure; manage medications, hemodynamics, and recovery priorities
Communicate effectively with the cardiology team to ensure safe, efficient procedures and optimal patient outcomes
