About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Surgery ICU (CSICU) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Tallahassee, FL. This is a Full-time / Direct Hire position with a Night shift schedule (7p–7a) and rotating weekends. The role involves providing autonomous care for post-operative cardiac surgery ICU patients, performing complex clinical assessments, managing treatment plans, and monitoring patients requiring continuous critical care and intervention. The nurse will advocate for patients and families, educate them on recovery and medication, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Maintaining accurate documentation and supporting quality improvement initiatives are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

• Minimum 1+ year acute care ICU or PCU experience required
• Active Florida RN license or Compact License (FL required within 60 days)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required within 30 days

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred
• CCRN certification preferred (within 2 years)

Responsibilities

• Provide autonomous care for post-operative cardiac surgery ICU patients

• Deliver high-acuity cardiac intensive care nursing
