About The Position

The Ambulatory Registered Nurse is a member of the Family Medicine Residency team. The position is located onsite at the Community Health East Pavilion on the east side of Indianapolis, Indiana. The role supports patients and the care team through phone triage, patient education, appointment scheduling, prior authorizations, prescription refills, referrals, care coordination, and other related tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate of a nursing school accredited by the NLN, CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA, or have three years of related professional nursing experience.
• Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Have one year or more of nursing experience.
• Have excellent communication skills.
• Have excellent team skills.
• Be compassionate and caring.
• Be accountable and self-directed.

Nice To Haves

• Previous medical office or outpatient experience preferred.
• Phone triage experience is a plus.
• EPIC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct phone triage.
• Provide patient education.

• Process prescription refills.
• Coordinate referrals.
• Support care coordination.
• Perform other related tasks as needed.
