About The Position

The RN Ambulatory works with the Family Medicine team at Macedonia Family Medicine, providing professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting. The role involves direct interaction with patients, families, and visitors, and includes offering healthcare information to support their experience. Cleveland Clinic Community Care provides patient-centered primary care for all ages, emphasizing prevention and wellness, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and complex diseases, and management of chronic conditions. The caregiver works primarily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and may travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN program).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross.
• One year of recent experience as an RN. Certain current Cleveland Clinic caregivers may substitute LPN, Medical Assistant, or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience when transferring into an RN role under the specified ambulatory or same-specialty conditions.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage, and establish care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
• Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures, and specialized patient care equipment.
• Develop, evaluate, adapt, and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures as needed.
