About The Position

DiningRD is actively seeking a Registered Dietitian for an Assisted Living Community. This consultant role involves quarterly onsite visits (6 hours/visit) to complete food safety and sanitation audits, meal/dining observation audits, and address nutrition referrals for high-risk residents. DiningRD has been nurturing joy through food with long-term care dining programs since 1994, offering comprehensive food and nutrition programs designed and supported by registered dietitians with extensive food service experience. We currently provide dietitian consulting and menu services to over 4,000 healthcare communities across 49 states. Requirements

  • Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials
  • Licensed (if required by State)
  • CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required)
  • State License, if required for a Registered Dietitian (Required)
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional manner
  • Enjoy coaching and mentoring others

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of consulting experience is preferred
  • Experience in Long Term Care preferred but not required
  • clinical nutrition: 2 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Complete quarterly onsite visits (6 hours/visit) to conduct food safety and sanitation audits.
  • Perform meal/dining observation audits.
  • Address nutrition referrals for high-risk residents.
  • Ensure meals meet high nutritional standards for seniors.
  • Work closely with the clinical team to monitor residents' nutritional needs.
  • Provide nutrition education.
  • Work on MDS with the team.
  • Formulate nutrition assessments with input from the dining manager.
  • Provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Train and provide guidance to dining managers and staff.
  • Assist with policy development.
  • Monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems.
