About The Position

DiningRD is seeking Registered Dietitians for skilled care communities. This position can be split or filled by one RD, with total hours per week varying up to 32 hours if desired. The company, established in 1994, focuses on nurturing joy through food in long-term care dining programs, providing comprehensive food and nutrition services designed and supported by a team of registered dietitians. They currently offer dietitian consulting and menu services to over 4,000 healthcare communities across 49 states. As a Long-Term Care consulting Registered Dietitian, the role involves improving the lives of seniors by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards and working closely with the clinical team to monitor residents' nutritional needs. Requirements

  • Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials
  • Licensed (if required by State)
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional manner
  • Enjoy coaching and mentoring others
  • CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required)
  • State License, if required for a Registered Dietitian (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of consulting experience is preferred
  • Experience in Long Term Care preferred

Responsibilities

  • Complete onsite visits Monday-Friday during regular business hours
  • Work closely with the clinical team to monitor the nutritional needs of the residents
  • Provide nutrition education
  • Work on an MDS with the team
  • Formulate nutrition assessments with input from the dining manager
  • Provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Train and provide guidance to dining managers and staff
  • Assist with policy development
  • Monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems
