About The Position

DiningRD is actively seeking Registered Dietitians to complete quarterly onsite visits. This role involves food safety and sanitation audits, dining audits, and handling clinical referrals. Each community visit averages 4 hours per quarter, with potential for up to 12 hours per quarter or an average of 4 hours per month, depending on candidate availability and the number of communities serviced. This is a consulting opportunity focused on improving the lives of seniors by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards. The Registered Dietitian will work closely with the clinical team to monitor resident nutritional needs, provide nutrition education, contribute to MDS assessments, and formulate nutrition assessments with input from the dining manager. The role also includes providing guidance on dining services, meal rounds, sanitation best practices, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Additionally, the dietitian will train and guide dining managers and staff, assist with policy development, and monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems.

Requirements

  • Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials
  • Licensed (if required by State)
  • CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required)
  • State License, if required for a Registered Dietitian (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of consulting experience is preferred
  • Experience in Long Term Care preferred
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks

  • Enjoy coaching and mentoring others

Responsibilities
