About The Position

DiningRD is seeking a Registered Dietitian for an Assisted Living Community. The consultant will be responsible for quarterly onsite visits to complete food safety and sanitation audits, meal/dining observation audits, and address nutrition referrals for high-risk residents. The role involves visits to two buildings, one requiring 4 hours every 6 weeks and the other requiring 2 hours every 6 weeks. Requirements

  • Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials
  • Licensed (if required by State)
  • CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required)
  • State License, if required for a Registered Dietitian (Required)
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional manner
  • Enjoyment of coaching and mentoring others

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of consulting experience
  • Experience in Long Term Care

Responsibilities

  • Complete quarterly onsite visits to complete food safety and sanitation audits.
  • Conduct meal/dining observation audits.
  • Address nutrition referrals for high-risk residents.
  • Monitor the nutritional needs of residents in collaboration with the clinical team.
  • Provide nutrition education.
  • Work on MDS with the team.
  • Formulate nutrition assessments with input from the dining manager.
  • Provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Train and provide guidance to dining managers and staff.
  • Assist with policy development.
  • Monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems.
