About The Position

DiningRD is actively seeking a Registered Dietitian for three Assisted Living Communities. This consultant role involves quarterly onsite visits (4-6 hours/visit) to complete food safety and sanitation audits, meal/dining observation audits, and address nutrition referrals for high-risk residents. The estimated time commitment is an average of 25-26 hours per quarter, or 8-10 hours per month. This position offers competitive pay based on experience and current needs, along with a flexible schedule and opportunities for continuing education.

Requirements

Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials
Licensed (if required by State)
CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required)
State License, if required for a Registered Dietitian (Required)
Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
Solid interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to represent the company in a professional manner
Enjoy coaching and mentoring others

Responsibilities

Complete quarterly onsite visits to food safety and sanitation audits.
Conduct meal/dining observation audits.
Address nutrition referrals for high-risk residents.
Provide nutrition education.
Work on MDS with the clinical team.
Formulate nutrition assessments with input from the dining manager.
Provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices.
Ensure regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
Train and provide guidance to dining managers and staff.
Assist with policy development.
Monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems.
