About The Position

DiningRD is actively seeking Registered Dietitians for skilled care communities and assisted living facilities. This contract consultant or part-time position involves completing onsite visits Monday-Friday during regular business hours, with total hours per week varying, typically 8-12 hours monthly. The role focuses on improving the lives of seniors by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards, monitoring nutritional needs, and working closely with clinical teams. Responsibilities include providing nutrition education, assisting with MDS, formulating nutrition assessments, guiding dining services (including meal rounds and sanitation), ensuring regulatory compliance, training dining managers and staff, assisting with policy development, and monitoring nutritional care systems. Requirements

  • Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials
  • Licensed (if required by State)
  • CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required)
  • State License, if required for a Registered Dietitian (Required)
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to represent our company in a professional manner
  • Enjoy coaching and mentoring others

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of consulting experience is preferred
  • Experience in Long Term Care preferred
  • 2 years of clinical nutrition experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Complete onsite visits Monday-Friday during regular business hours
  • Monitor the nutritional needs of the residents
  • Provide nutrition education
  • Work on an MDS with the clinical team
  • Formulate nutrition assessments with input from the dining manager
  • Provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Train and provide guidance to dining managers and staff
  • Assist with policy development
  • Monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems
