About The Position

Step Ahead ABA is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician for a single client case in Des Moines, Iowa. This part-time position requires availability on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, approximately 4 hours per week. The exact session times will vary by season: 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM during the summer and 3:40 PM - 5:00 PM in the fall. Conversational Spanish is a requirement for this specific case. A BCBA is already assigned to the client and will provide a thorough handoff before the first session. Step Ahead ABA prioritizes internal RBTs for new cases before seeking external candidates. This posting will be removed once a client is matched.

Requirements

• Active RBT certification with the BACB.
• Prior ABA experience.
• Availability Tue/Thu mornings, about 4 hours per week.
• Conversational Spanish.
• Reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to stay active and engaged in session.

Nice To Haves

• BCBA supervision and a pathway to becoming a BCBA.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 97153 direct therapy to a treatment plan and behavior intervention plan written by the BCBA.
• Collect session data and submit notes for work performed.
• Participate in QA and IOA checks in session, observation, and feedback.
• Engage actively in sessions with the client.
