About The Position

Step Ahead ABA is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician for one client in Altoona, Iowa. The schedule is Monday/Tuesday/Thursday afternoons, approximately 10.5 hours per week. This posting is for a single client case, meaning the hours and days are fixed. Exact session times are either Tuesday/Thursday from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM or Monday/Thursday from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM. A BCBA is already assigned to this client and covers the region, providing a treatment plan and a handoff before the first session. Current RBTs are given priority for new cases. The company supports families on Medicaid across Iowa and aims to keep those plans open, offering a dedicated care manager and schedules built around the client's needs, family availability, and the RBT's availability, not corporate hour targets.

Requirements

• Active RBT certification with the BACB.
• Prior ABA experience.
• Availability Monday/Tuesday/Thursday afternoons, about 10.5 hours per week.
• Reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to stay active and engaged in session.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 97153 direct therapy to a treatment plan and behavior intervention plan written by the BCBA.
• Collect session data and submit notes for the work performed.
• Participate in QA and IOA checks in session, observation, and feedback.
• Engage actively in sessions with the client.
