About The Position

Step Ahead ABA is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician for one client in Gastonia, North Carolina. The schedule is Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri middays, approximately 12 hours per week. This posting is for a single client case, meaning the hours and days are fixed. Exact session times for this case are Monday, Wednesday-Friday from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM, and Tuesday from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Conversational Spanish is required for this case. A BCBA is already assigned to this client and covers this region, providing a treatment plan and a handoff before the first session. Current RBTs are given priority for new cases. The company supports families on Medicaid across North Carolina and works to maintain those plans, offering dedicated care managers and schedules built around the client's needs, family availability, and the technician's availability, rather than corporate hour targets. The role involves delivering direct therapy according to a treatment plan and behavior intervention plan written by the BCBA. Supervision includes in-session QA and IOA checks, observation, and feedback. Technicians collect session data and submit notes, with non-billable time paid at $10 per hour. The BCBAs and clinical directors have over 40 years of combined experience.

Requirements

• Active RBT certification with the BACB.
• Prior ABA experience.
• Availability Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri middays, about 12 hours per week.
• Reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to stay active and engaged in session.
• Conversational Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 97153 direct therapy to a treatment plan and behavior intervention plan.
• Collect session data and submit notes for the work performed.
• Participate in supervision, including QA and IOA checks in session, observation, and feedback.
• Communicate with BCBA for treatment plan and client handoff.
