Champion Home Builders, Inc. is seeking to hire a Sales Manager to join their Corporate team in the Florida region. This position will be located in their Ocala, FL facility. Champion has served as a leader in the manufactured housing industry and one of the largest mobile and modular home builders in North America. Requirements

  • Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Previous sales experience in manufactured/modular housing desired
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the Florida Regional Sales Department.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the plant sales force including account planning and sales activity management.
  • Makes recommendations to the Southeast Region Director of Sales and the Florida Plant General Managers with respect to the best interests of the Company wherever Marketing and Sales activities are involved.
  • Participate in daily Product and Sales & Operations Planning at the plants.
  • Develop the Plant Marketing and Sales objectives in conjunction with the General Manager and manage the Sales Department to meet or exceed the sales targets, per respective plants.
  • Trains and develops the Zone Managers to meet sales goals and objectives/targets.
  • Measures and manages the ZM's Key accountabilities.
  • Solicits retailer/community feedback on product, price-value, and competitive environment, and gives input to develop appropriate action plans.
  • Keeps up with product trends working with the National Product Team and respective plant management teams.
  • Provides detailed competitive analysis against key competitors so management can make informed product and pricing decisions.
  • Ensures overall territory growth maximizing distribution opportunities, execution of national and regional sales programs and other company initiatives.
  • Develop and implement sales plans to ensure the right products are at the right locations in the right markets in sufficient quantities to meet sales & market share objectives.
  • Plan, coordinate and ensure sufficient In-Plant and In-Field Dealer Sales Training.
  • Plan, coordinate and promote regional trade and local factory shows as appropriate.
  • Maintain cost control to ensure efficient and effective operation of department within budget.
  • Perform regular market research & competitive analysis to ensure the correct product is being marketed.
  • Directly supervise employees in the Sales Department.
  • Carry out responsibilities in accordance with corporate policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
