About The Position

The Regional Maintenance Technician will assist the Maintenance Coordinator in preparing properties for inspections, identifying large projects, filling in for vacancies and PTO. This role requires the ability and willingness to travel 100% of the time and the technician must be based in or around Central Ohio. The technician will perform general repairs throughout residential facilities and properties, clean and assist with property upkeep, and collaborate with property personnel to ensure timely ordering of supplies and materials. A key responsibility is to quickly turn apartment units to prepare for new move-ins, while also developing professional relationships with tenants, vendors, and employees.

Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to travel 100% of the time.
  • Must be based in or around Central Ohio.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • General knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other areas of residential maintenance.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Must be able to supply own hand tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of residential maintenance or related experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
  • Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
  • Plans repair work using building blueprints or equipment manual as needed.
  • Performs general repairs throughout the residential facility and property.
  • Cleans and assists with the upkeep of the property including the curb appeal, buildings, and individual units.
  • Collaborates with property personnel to ensure supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance are ordered in a timely manner.
  • Follows preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Completes assigned work orders in a timely manner, communicating updates to the Property Manager, Regional Manager, and Maintenance Coordinator.
  • Quickly turn apartment units to prepare for new move-ins.
  • Develop professional and respectful relationships with tenants, vendors, and other employees.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
