About The Position

Intralox has an opening for a SERVICE+ Technician based in the Rochester, Minnesota area. The role requires a strong mechanical background to provide technical service and support for low-tension polymer belting technology used in conveyor applications. The technician manages a territory roughly 400 miles, or five to six hours’ driving distance, in radius, with occasional further travel in North America, including Canada. Approximately 70% travel, or 168 days away per year, is expected. Travel generally involves working at a cluster of customer facilities over several days before returning home; some nearby visits may allow same-day returns. Rochester is the optimal home location, though other locations within the territory may be considered. As a technical resource, the SERVICE+ Technician builds proactive customer relationships, explains the value of Intralox technology, and provides reactive support when needed. The technician works closely with account managers, develops relationships with production-plant customers, schedules service visits, identifies opportunities, trains customers onsite, and responds to customer issues. The position requires strong planning, communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to produce detailed customer-facing reports. Periodic air travel is required, with reasonable access to a regional airport. Intralox is a division of Laitram, L.L.C., providing conveyance solutions and services worldwide. The company reports a global workforce of more than 3,000 employees in over 20 countries and describes its business philosophy as grounded in honesty, fairness, respect, trust, and continuous innovation.
