About The Position

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leading provider of dedicated fleet maintenance and repair services, is seeking a Regional Director. This role is primarily responsible for growing business with new and existing customers, increasing shop productivity and efficiency, and improving profitability for the vehicle service and upfitting business. Key responsibilities include ensuring operational standards and safety, supporting team training and development, and maintaining strong client relationships. The position also involves acting as a technical lead for job builds and managing inventory and profitability of sold jobs. The role is remote, based in Sacramento, CA, with 50% travel within California. Compensation includes a competitive salary range of $150,000-$180,000 with bonus potential, paid weekly.

Requirements

  • Multiple site leadership experience, geographically dispersed operational teams.
  • At least 10 years of class 1-8 vehicles or equipment maintenance management.
  • Must have experience in upfitting vehicles.
  • Experience with CRM (ex. Salesforce.com) – considered highly beneficial.
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office, with a focus on Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to articulate complex solutions to prospects from local Managers to C-level officers.
  • Discipline: a proven track record as a self-starter and adherence to sales metrics with a very strong work ethic.
  • Transportation Industry experience with specific knowledge of Fleet Maintenance & upfitting vehicles.
  • Strong customer orientation, with a high level of comfort making cold calls and quickly developing rapport with prospective clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and operational level.
  • Travel up to 50% throughout California.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred to have experience with government contracts and fleet management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety of company operations and employees.
  • Support up to date training and development for all team members.
  • Maintain exceptional relationships with all client stakeholders.
  • Act as a technical lead with job builds.
  • Manage inventory and profitability of all jobs sold.
  • Ensures safety programs and all compliance and legal procedures are followed.
  • Contract management, ensuring performance and legal compliance.
  • Motivate others by establishing clear vision as to the needs necessary to ensure success in profit performance, client relations, and business development.
  • Effectively interacts with others by demonstrating high degree of credibility and is responsible for the development of initiatives in support of, and development of subordinates.
  • Directly supervises the service management team at all sites.
  • Directly uncovers new prospects and revenue opportunities for service, maintenance and upfitting vehicles.
  • Executes sales plans as assigned by executive team.
  • Work with Business Development and Marketing on new proposals.
  • Provide weekly and monthly status updates to Executive Team.
  • Proactive problem solver for any client related issues.
  • Owns P&L and responsible for revenue growth and profitability.
  • Forecasting business outcomes in collaboration with sales, ops and finance.
  • Leads annual budgeting for department.
  • Learn and train staff with all internal and external software platforms.
  • All other duties as assigned.
