About The Position

Clean Harbors is seeking a Regional Class A Tanker Driver to join its safety-conscious team in Cleveland, Ohio. The route runs from Cleveland to Indiana, Ohio, and Illinois and averages 60 hours per week. The role offers annual earning potential of $120,000 and weekly earning potential of $2,400, per diem if applicable, a $7,500 sign-on bonus, and weekly overtime opportunities. Drivers operate tractor-trailer tanker units and transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste while following safety practices and applicable company and Department of Transportation requirements.

Requirements

• Class A CDL.
• At least 12 months of Class A driving experience.
• At least 3 months of tanker experience.
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.
• Ability to climb and work from heights.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to effectively use required technology, such as mobile applications and computer software.

Responsibilities

• Make health and safety the top priority by complying with safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting safely at all times.
• Operate tractor-trailer tanker units.
• Adhere to weight requirements and ensure proper utilization of the units.
• Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste and properly secure loads.
• Placard vehicles in accordance with company and Department of Transportation requirements and regulations.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports.
