About The Position

Clean Harbors is hiring a Regional Class A Tanker Driver for its team in E. Chicago, Indiana. The route runs from E. Chicago to Ohio, Kansas, and Canada, averages 65 hours per week, and offers weekly home time. Drivers average $120,000–$130,000 per year, or approximately $2,400–$2,500 weekly. Compensation includes hourly wages for all on-duty non-driving time, overtime, and per diem. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is available. The role involves safely operating tractor-trailer tanker units and transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Requirements

Class A CDL.
At least 12 months of Class A driving experience.
At least 3 months of tanker experience.
HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.
Ability to climb and work from heights.
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more.
Ability to use required technology effectively, including mobile applications and computer software.

Responsibilities

Comply with safe work practices, policies, and processes, and act safely at all times.
Operate tractor-trailer tanker units.
Adhere to weight limits and ensure proper utilization of units.
Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, and secure loads properly.
Placard vehicles according to company and Department of Transportation requirements and regulations.
Maintain daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports.
