About The Position

This is a client-facing role responsible for developing business relationships, mapping accounts, and ensuring effective execution of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) by Crane Worldwide offices servicing the account. The role involves monitoring and analyzing reports, conducting performance management for the reporting team, and staying informed about market trends and industry awareness. The Regional Account Director will drive internal collaboration by sharing best practices in client reviews, strategic business plans, value-add programs, process improvements, tender management, and technology solutions. They will also lead and review impact and coverage analyses to identify service and opportunity gaps, direct account monitoring for timely payment and collection, and create and implement business development plans with short-term and long-term objectives for the region. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience in sales, account management, or operations in freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience.
  • Experience with CRM systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of transportation industry logistics and freight forwarding.
  • Thorough knowledge of successful sales techniques.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Detail-oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently.
  • Good analytical and program management skills; ability to define, develop and document business processes and procedures.
  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Internal/external sales skills.
  • Troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the business relationship with clients.
  • Perform account mapping and business unit breakdown to align regional/global teams.
  • Run Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and ensure proper preparation.
  • Ensure Crane Worldwide offices servicing the account understand and execute SOPs.
  • Monitor, analyze, and distribute reports.
  • Conduct performance management for the reporting team.
  • Perform regular market analysis and industry awareness to maintain knowledge.
  • Drive collaborative efforts internally by supporting and sharing best practices in client reviews, strategic business plans, value-add programs, process improvements, tender management, and technology solutions.
  • Lead and review impact and coverage analyses to identify service and opportunity gaps.
  • Direct account monitoring activities by the team to ensure timely payment and collection.
  • Create and implement business development plans with short-term and long-term business objectives to be achieved by region.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
