About The Position

Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company focused on delivering novel therapeutics for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), a serious liver disease that can progress to cirrhosis, liver failure, need for liver transplantation and premature mortality. Madrigal’s medication, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), is a once-daily, oral, liver-directed THR-β agonist designed to target key underlying causes of MASH. Rezdiffra is the first and only medication approved by both the FDA and European Commission for the treatment of MASH with moderate to advanced fibrosis (F2 to F3). An ongoing Phase 3 outcomes trial is evaluating Rezdiffra for the treatment of compensated MASH cirrhosis (F4c). Our success is driven by our people. Regional Account Directors will ensure formulary access to Rezdiffra across assigned regional payers while working across the matrix team to execute effective pull-through programs. This includes interacting with all levels of regional payers including, but not limited to, Pharmacy Directors, Medical Directors, Quality Management, and Population Health. RADs will collaborate across the organization including Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, Insights and Analytics, Patient Support and Key Account Directors. The position will report to Executive Director, Market Access Regional Accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.
  • 5 or more years of demonstrated success in account management.
  • Must reside in geographic area of responsibility.
  • Extensive customer relationships with regional plan pharmacy and medical directors.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quantitative and qualitative targets.
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and in an environment of rapid change.
  • Excellent written, organizational, and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Proficient in MS Office products including PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain deep understanding of MASH disease state, Rezdiffra clinical data and commercialization strategy and further customer engagement by providing deep insights/expertise around the MASLD/NASH disease continuum and customer insight on trends, market conditions and changes in formulary/medical policies.
  • Develop both short and long-term tactical plans to optimize Rezdiffra coverage in assigned regional accounts.
  • Leverage and champion core market access resources and sales planning tools.
  • Enable and support MML/HEOR/Marketing team interactions with customers to include consultation and collaboration with stakeholders across the organization to develop patient-centric solutions unique MML engagements and relationship-building with peers.
  • Support the National Account team to develop and communicate clear and effective pull-through initiatives that will drive successful contract performance through collaboration with Sales in alignment with the Area Directors (Access & Sales Directors).
  • Collaborate and consult with functional matrix team leaders to optimize business performance and/or manage complex business risks and issues.
  • Engage with Patient Support to foster shared and timely communications regarding coverage challenges and/or trends.
  • Develop and execute Regional Access Matrix Business Plans in cooperation with cross-functional leaders (Sales, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Market Access and Patient Support).
  • Review and correct formulary information monthly to be disseminated to key internal team members.
  • Conduct business with the highest compliance and integrity standards and in compliance with all applicable local, state and federal laws.
