About The Position

Builds and maintains effective long-term relationships and a high level of satisfaction with key senior-level decision makers and influencers at an assigned group of customer accounts that may include major strategic customers within a geographic or industry focus. Identifies, develops and typically closes new sales opportunities. Creates demand for the organization's products and services by raising their profile with customers. Achieves revenue targets by increasing revenue spend per account. May conduct regular status and strategy meetings with the customer's senior management to understand their needs and link them to the organization's product/service strategies. Responsibilities are within the Account/Relationship Management Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical industry with prior experience including but not limited to Sales, Market Access, Health Outcomes, Health IT, Medical Education, or Marketing.
  • 2 years of preferred in Account Management/Managed Markets/IDNs
  • Strong network and relationships across health care systems and with Specialty HCP networks (i.e. Cardiologists, Nephrologists, Endocrinologists)
  • Resourceful, strategic and analytical thinker, and creative problem solver with a, “See it, Own it, Solve it, Do it approach.”
  • Ability to work cross functionally and in a matrix environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of market direction / business Insight
  • Business travel by air and car are required
  • A free and clear driver’s license is required for this role

Responsibilities

  • The primary responsibilities of this role, Regional Account Director, are to: The Houston Regional Account Director (RAD), Health System & Population Health will build relationships with key accounts throughout the Houston Area as defined by the Sr. Area General Manager.
  • The RAD will understand and recommend the use of Kerendia in the appropriate patient type and identify opportunities to expand business by aligning the appropriate use of Kerendia with the Accounts' patient care objectives.
  • The RAD will establish a comprehensive Strategic Account Business Plan aimed at creating long- and short-term sales growth.
  • The RAD will penetrate physical access and market access barriers in order to achieve account objectives.
  • The RAD will create Kerendia Advocates and Clinical Champions throughout the Account by building strategic relationships with prescribers and administrators.
  • The RAD will collaborate with cross functional partners as needed, including Medical, Marking, Market Access, Sales Leadership, and Sales Consultants.
  • The RAD will lead and coordinate pull through at the local level.
  • Responsible for overall sales objectives in assigned key accounts, maximizing sales opportunity for the brand(s).
  • Serves as the lead and promotional conduit to healthcare professionals to support the CVR franchise within the MG/IDNs and surrounding geography.
  • Develops and executes a Strategic Business Plan and Account Map in alignment w/ Area General Manager and cross-functional stakeholders (Medical, Marketing, Market Access, Sales Leadership, etc.).
  • Synthesize information quickly and ensure internal and external data are incorporated into Account Business Plans and proactively share insights to AGM for needed resource allocation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Market Access, Medical and Sales to achieve shared account objectives.
  • Responsible for understanding the "process" of how MG/IDNs structures patient management and coordination of care.
  • Identify and Access Key Stakeholders within the account who influence Brand Advocacy.
  • Position brand(s) for appropriate patient types to Key Stakeholders throughout assigned accounts, uncovering gaps which negatively impact patient outcomes and may not align to evidence-based guidelines.

  • Project manages MG/IDN brand adoption through collaboration with CIO, CMIO, Quality, EHR/EMR vendors, etc.
  • Drive brand adoption and expand advocacy once brand access is established through MG/IDN HER as defined by: Meaningful use by appropriate providers, Patient adherence with system support services, Review of process to identify gaps post implementation.
  • Lead and coordinate field sales pull through.
  • The RAD will report to the Sr. Area General Manager and collaborate with Market Access, Medical, Marketing, and Sales.
  • At the account level, the RAD will build collaborative relationships with heads of MG/IDNs, VPs of Quality, Outcomes and Population Health, IT Super Users, Service Line Leaders, and Chief Information Officers
