About The Position

The Refurb Technician I refurbishes and repairs commercial ice machines to ensure equipment functions reliably and meets customer service requirements. The role works closely with Refurb Technician II and III team members and the Technical Services team, and collaborates with Service Delivery and Logistics to support effective workflows. The technician helps prepare equipment for quick turnaround and shipping, completes work to company standards, documents repairs, and supports customer satisfaction and retention through dependable service. The position is suited to a resourceful, organized, detail-oriented person who is willing to learn and grow in ice machine repair and maintenance.

Requirements

Two years of professional HVAC-field experience is desired.
Excellent organizational skills.
Reliable and energetic.
Problem-solving ability and capacity to think on one’s feet and learn rapidly with limited supervision.
Entrepreneurial and solution-driven approach.
Flexibility in meeting performance and time-sensitive expectations.
Disciplined, self-motivated, and able to meet team goals.
Ability to work both as a team member and independently.
Basic computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, use ladders, manipulate and handle parts and tools, reach, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods, including 8 or more hours per day.

Responsibilities

Ensure adequate equipment is ready for quick turnaround and shipping.
Complete refurbishment and repair work to Easy Ice standards and document it properly.
Work with the Service Delivery and Logistics teams to support efficient workflows.
Complete daily refurbishment tasks in a timely and efficient manner while emphasizing quality.
Ensure the warehouse meets standards required by law.
Source equipment and ensure adequate supplies are available.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and check fluids, wipers, and tires to help maintain its service life.
Identify process-improvement opportunities that positively affect the customer experience.
Continue building knowledge of the industries served and the company’s products, services, and processes.
