About The Position

This position assists the Supervisor in coordinating the department’s daily responsibilities by communicating the Supervisor’s instructions to team members and ensuring they are carried out correctly and on time. The role operates and maintains refrigeration systems and troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The position may work in any department in the beef processing facility. It is slated for team members currently working at this facility or complex; team members seeking to transfer from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.

Requirements

Must be Level 8 maintenance or above.
Candidates with four or more attendance points and/or any suspension in the past 12 months will not be considered.
Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Must be able to read, write, and interpret general equipment safety procedures.
Must be able and willing to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be mechanically inclined.
Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting up to 100 pounds.
Must be able to work in cold, damp, or hot and humid environments ranging from 30 to 105 degrees.

Nice To Haves

Welding experience is preferred.
