About The Position

The Maintenance Lead performs most functions of a refrigeration supervisor for a team of 10 to 12 hourly technicians, except responsibilities involving payroll, time-clock reports, promotions or demotions, attendance, and discipline. This is a development position intended to prepare an hourly team member for advancement to a refrigeration supervisor role. The position is restricted to current maintenance team members at MG06 or above who work at the facility or complex; team members at other Tyson facilities should contact their local HR Partner to express interest in transferring. The lead provides plant-floor direction, technical troubleshooting and repair support, technician training, maintenance scheduling feedback, work-order reporting, and coordination of refrigeration and utility-system work. The lead may act as supervisor for the crew when the maintenance supervisor is absent and works with the PSM coordinator to support program compliance. Applicants must meet the stated internal eligibility requirements at application time: six or fewer points and no suspensions in the prior 12 months. New hires must have completed their initial 90-day probationary period. The successful candidate must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
