The Refinery Superintendent is responsible for ensuring employee safety, food safety, and environmental compliance program standards and goals are implemented. This role is accountable for all internal and external operating and regulatory procedures, including strategic and tactical execution in alignment with corporate EH&S, food safety, quality, and regulatory functions, as well as government regulations. The Superintendent will lead production and quality management deliverables to ensure customer, product, and quality standard requirements are met within specifications. They will establish and deploy operational priorities for the Newark Refinery plant and oversee the overall operational management of the plant. This includes implementing operational efficiency improvements, such as standardization of plant information manufacturing systems, quality control, safety, production reliability excellence, maintenance, and operator best practices. The role also involves leading, directing, and controlling capital and operating budgets for the plant to achieve medium-term financial performance objectives. The Superintendent ensures and holds direct reports accountable for meeting production deliverables and controlling operating expenses and established targets. Additionally, they will lead and develop a team, coach, and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions. Other duties may be assigned.
