About The Position

DH Pace Company, Inc. is hiring an entry-level Recruiting Specialist at its corporate headquarters in Olathe, Kansas. The role is eligible for a hybrid work schedule after an introductory period. Working alongside the Senior Recruiting Specialist, the Recruiting Specialist supports Recruiters with day-to-day recruiting operations. This is a highly administrative role and an entry point to a career in Recruiting or Human Resources.

• Some previous experience or education in HR or Recruiting.

Responsibilities

• Support Recruiters with daily recruiting operations, including interview scheduling, candidate communications, and workflow coordination.
• Initiate pre-employment background checks, drug screens, and DOT physicals; monitor results and escalate or advance candidates as appropriate.
• Initiate onboarding and complete Employee Action Forms as necessary for new hires.
• Collect and verify new-hire I-9 documentation in accordance with federal requirements.
• Create and manage ID badge access.
• Serve as a primary contact for candidates and hiring managers when the assigned Recruiter is unavailable, maintaining communication and process continuity.
• Manage the recruiting hotline and respond to candidate inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Register for, track, and attend career fairs and recruiting events; travel as needed.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
