About The Position

This position is responsible for performing a variety of human resource duties, including attending job fairs and recruitment events, conducting interviews, assisting managers with interviews, and collecting/organizing interview notes. The role requires reliability, responsibility, dependability, and adherence to safety guidelines, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail. The Recruiter will maintain the applicant tracking system, update online and in-house job boards, and work with hiring managers to determine staffing needs. Responsibilities also include screening and interviewing applicants, processing employment applications, coordinating background checks and drug testing, and entering new employee data into HRIS (UKG). The role involves assisting with new hire orientation, preparing job postings, providing administrative support to the HR Department, and preparing various staffing and onboarding reports. The Recruiter will also back up other HR staff as needed and perform other duties as directed by management.

Requirements

  • Experience in all areas of human resource duties or equivalent education.
  • Experience in interviewing required.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Positive attitude when working with candidates.
  • Knowledge of employment, merchandise handling, and safety procedures.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid Driver's license with no more than 2 traffic violations and 1 chargeable accident within the past three years.

Responsibilities

  • Attend job fairs and other recruitment events.
  • Assist managers with interviews and collect/organize interview notes.
  • Maintain applicant tracking system.
  • Update online job boards (Indeed, College job boards, etc.) and in-house electronic job boards.
  • Work with hiring managers to determine staffing needs.
  • Screen and interview applicants using interview guidelines and behavioral based interviewing techniques.
  • Process and review employment applications to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants.
  • Coordinate and schedule background checks and drug testing for candidates.
  • Enter and make changes for new employees, rehires, and transfers in HRIS (UKG).
  • Assist with coordinating new hire employee orientation.
  • Prepare job postings in HRIS (UKG) as well as weekly internal job postings.
  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resource Department including, but not limited to, distributing mail, filing, faxing, and copying.
  • Prepare a variety of reports about staffing and onboarding information, such as, but not limited to: par levels, time-to-hire, turnover, retention, fill %, employee onboarding surveys, exit surveys, etc.
  • Back up other Human Resource staff as needed.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by management.
