FLEX TEAM MATERIALS HANDLER (OKC/FT) Safety Sensitive - Driving
About The Position
This is a Safety Sensitive - Driving position for a Flex Team Materials Handler. The role involves general warehouse duties including loading and unloading trucks, labeling merchandise with destinations using a scan gun, staging merchandise in the correct warehouse area, assembly/disassembly of merchandise, maintaining a clean warehouse area, removing trash, sweeping, inspecting merchandise for functionality, damages, defects, and imperfections. It also includes loading customer merchandise, preparing paperwork, obtaining customer signatures on waivers, following correct ticket procedures, gathering and breaking down empty boxes, auditing manifests to check for shortages, and using proper procedures when working with knives, flat carts, and lifting merchandise. The position requires checking daily closing assignments and responsibilities, and maintaining excellent customer relations with internal and external customers. Any other duties as directed by management may also be assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to repetitively lift heavy merchandise of 50 lbs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Positive attitude when working with customers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of merchandise handling and safety procedures
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or 1 chargeable accident within the last three years
Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading of trucks
- Labeling merchandise with a destination using a scan gun
- Staging merchandise in the correct area within the warehouse in a timely fashion
- Assembly/disassembly of merchandise
- Keeping warehouse area clean
- Removing trash from work area
- Sweeping work area
- Inspecting merchandise for functionality, damages, defects, and imperfections
- Loading customer merchandise
- Making necessary copies and paperwork and obtaining customer signatures on waivers
- Following correct ticket procedures
- Gathering empty boxes and breaking them down
- Sweeping warehouse
- Moving items to vehicles
- Checking for shortages through auditing the manifest
- Using proper procedures when working with knives, flat carts, and lifting merchandise
- Checking daily closing assignments and responsibilities
- Using excellent customer relations when working with internal and external customers
- Performing any other duties as directed by management
