About The Position

The Recreation Supervisor runs pool operations by monitoring the Pool Rentals and Oceanside service teams, engaging with guests, and creating memorable vacation experiences. The role oversees daily opening and closing procedures, team shift planning, guest reservations and rentals, craft offerings and camp themes, service quality, department inspections, and communication with management. The position also works across departments to respond to guest needs and requests.

The work takes place in exterior and occasionally interior hotel areas, with exposure to varied weather and lighting conditions. It involves extended standing and mobility, lifting, and moving carts and equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to six hours at a time.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to regularly push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to perform lifting tasks.
• Computer program experience or ability to use Kronos for correcting missing punches and time edits; Birchstreet for supply ordering; Microsoft Outlook/Calendar; Microsoft Excel; Resort Suite for reservations and charging tickets; and Xola.

Responsibilities

• Oversee poolscape opening and closing procedures, including associate readiness, cleanliness, and service opportunities.
• Create and deliver a clear daily stand-up plan for the Oceanside and Rentals teams at the start of each shift.
• Take guest reservations and arrange pool and beach rentals while creating a welcoming experience.
• Host and assist with the execution of daily craft offerings and camp themes.
• Demonstrate creativity, manage crowds, and provide quality service in guest interactions.
• Handle guest complaints effectively and resolve issues with confidence.
• Communicate an end-of-day recap to management, including action items, staff issues, and required follow-up.
• Inspect department areas daily, monitor cleanliness and organization, and report safety hazards with follow-up.
• Work with different departments to meet guest needs and requests.
