About The Position
The Recovery Specialist II provides care that responds to the physical and psychological needs of members served, delivering direct and indirect services according to individual service plans and Medicaid standards. This position is on call, with shift hours and days varying as needed, and is based at Heritage Psychiatric Health Facility, a 26-bed hospital providing acute psychiatric treatment to adults over age 18. The role is covered by a collective bargaining agreement and is subject to union membership requirements upon hire. Expected starting wage is $23.00–$23.71 per hour. Shift differentials may apply depending on shift and day.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and two years of experience in a psychiatric mental health setting, or a bachelor's degree and one year of experience in a mental health setting.
- Knowledge of basic nursing skills and interventions, as well as mental and physical health conditions and terminology.
- Certification as a CNA or its equivalent is acceptable documentation of nursing skills knowledge.
