About The Position

The Recovery Clerk provides members with prompt, courteous service and assistance while replenishing and stocking merchandise and keeping the sales floor clean, neat, and organized. The role includes restocking merchandise across food and non-food areas, maintaining signage, removing cardboard, returning merchandise to the sales floor, and following club policies and procedures. The clerk may be assigned to work in other departments as needed and must maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.

Requirements

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Ability to use a pallet jack to pull and push pallets.
• Ability to perform the described physical tasks, including frequent lifting of objects up to 30 pounds and moving heavier or awkward objects with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide members with prompt and courteous service and assistance.
• Replenish, refill, stock, and straighten merchandise, ensuring merchandise is properly signed.
• Keep the sales floor clean, neat, full, and organized.
• Replenish milk, dairy, freezer, food, and non-food merchandise.
• Fold and organize apparel, books, and other merchandise.
• Remove empty cardboard from the sales floor, shelves, and display cases, replenish box bins, and use a cardboard baler to dispose of cardboard.
• Return returned and re-shop merchandise to the sales floor.
• Maintain all club policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
• Complete required training and certification processes.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
• Support club standards, including stocking items, executing promotional plans, maintaining visible and accurate signage, and keeping the club clean and organized.
• Work collaboratively and respectfully, maintain a friendly and positive attitude, and help ensure a safe and positive environment for members and team members.
• Address and deescalate member concerns, escalating concerns as appropriate.
• Understand how to access and read production and/or financial performance reporting for the department and how consistent execution affects the business.
