About The Position

The Recovery Clerk provides members with prompt, courteous service and assistance while replenishing and stocking merchandise and keeping the sales floor clean, neat, and organized. The role supports club policies, procedures, and compliance, and contributes to a safe, positive, inclusive environment for members and team members. Recovery Clerks work as part of a team to meet daily GOLD Member and Club Standards, maintain accurate merchandise signage, and help deliver a clean, well-stocked club.

The position involves replenishing merchandise across milk, dairy, freezer, food, and non-food areas; organizing apparel, books, and other merchandise; removing cardboard and using a cardboard baler; and returning returned or re-shop items to the sales floor. Team members may also work in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

• Successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to frequently lift objects up to 50 pounds; may need to lift and move heavy or awkward objects over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to use a pallet jack to pull and push pallets.

Responsibilities

• Provide members with prompt and courteous service and assistance.
• Replenish, refill, stock, and straighten merchandise, including milk, dairy, freezer, food, and non-food items.
• Ensure merchandise signage is proper and accurate.
• Keep the sales floor clean, neat, full, and organized.
• Fold and organize apparel, books, and other merchandise.
• Remove empty cardboard from the sales floor, shelves, and display cases; replenish box bins and use a cardboard baler to dispose of cardboard.
• Return returned and re-shop merchandise to the sales floor.
• Follow club policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Support a safe, positive, inclusive environment and address or escalate member concerns as appropriate.
• Work with the team to meet daily GOLD Member and Club Standards.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
