About The Position

The Recovery Associate upholds the store’s general appearance and arrangement by returning merchandise to the sales floor, keeping shelves stocked, and maintaining a clean, appealing store. The role also focuses on providing exceptional customer service and supporting a positive shopping experience. Associates complete recovery and merchandising tasks in assigned departments, maintain department cleanliness, follow safety practices, and may work across departments through cross-training. The position involves using general office equipment and retail equipment, including handheld devices, forklifts, pallet jacks, and ladders. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to interact with a team in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Comfort navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities.
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull at least 30 pounds repetitively and 31–50 pounds intermittently.
• Ability to use a ladder and/or pallet jack.
• Ability to navigate and access all facilities.
• Ability to communicate verbally with others in person and via electronic devices.
• Close vision for computer-related activities.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers within a ten-foot radius and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Help customers make informed purchase decisions and provide high-quality customer service.
• Organize, restock, and arrange products for effective displays.
• Maintain knowledge of featured products and their store locations.
• Complete the daily recovery process for assigned departments.
• Maintain department cleanliness and organization, including wiping shelves and sweeping beneath them.
• Follow Indoor Merchandising Guide standards for the relevant department.
• Keep bathrooms clean and well-maintained.
• Follow safety protocols and proper material-handling techniques.
• Use general office equipment, including a telephone, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, and computer.
• Operate handheld devices, forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, and other retail equipment.
• Participate in cross-training for flexibility across departments and responsibilities.
• Participate in training programs, workshops, webinars, and other learning initiatives.
• Provide friendly, proactive, and professional support to internal and external customers, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
